Understanding the WHY you aren’t feeling the best version of yourself is what excites me most!
I am originally from Nova Scotia and now living in Quispamsis! I was a high-performance snowboard cross and parallel giant slalom athlete and growing up I spent my fair share of time in multidisciplinary clinics receiving treatment for the list of injuries I sustained! This led me on my journey into rehabilitation careers. I first completed my bachelor’s of Kinesiology at the University of Calgary.
I then stumbled across classical Osteopathy after talking with a local practitioner in the town of Orangeville where I was living at the time. I went to the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy to attend a class on his recommendation, where I witnessed a treatment that opened my mind to a world of new possibilities. In one treatment they were able to uncover the root cause of the pain which is embedded in both the anatomy and the physiology of the body. Right then and there I submitted my application to become an Osteopath – 3.5 years later I am almost at the end!
Classical Osteopathy is a manual form of therapy that emphasizes the relationship between the structure and function of the human body. Understanding that our bodies are many parts put together to make one unit, if one part is in non-working order it will affect the whole unit. I work with you to find the why the symptoms are being expressed.
